The First UK printing published by Collins, London in 1960. The BOOK is in near Fine condition and appears unread. Very light offsetting to the end-papers. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition. Just a hint of toning to the spine and very light marking to the rear white panel. Some tiny pieces of archival reinforcement tape to the verso to a few very small closed tears to the edges of the rear panel and the upper spine. Liberty bookseller's sticker to the lower front flap. The wrapper looks very bright in the removable Brodart archival cover. An exceptionally sharp copy of the third Paddington Bear title. Loosely inserted is a B/W photograph of the author measuring 11 x 18cm which has been signed by Michael Bond: 'With all good wishes, Michael Bond'. There is also a loosely inserted thank you card which accompanied the photograph and is signed by the author : '(Thank you) for your kind letter, your children might like the enclosed photo, best regards, Michael Bond'. Scarce with such attributes and as nice as copy as you are likely to find.
