The third Paddington title which is becoming increasingly scarce
Bond, Michael ~ Paddington Helps Out : With A H/W Notecard Signed By The Author
Collins, London : 1960
The First UK Printing published by Collins in 1960. The BOOK is in VERY GOOD++ or better condition. Minor push to the lower spine and a little rubbing to the front upper corner. Covers are nice and clean. The silver titling remains bright. Light offsetting and spotting to the end papers and text block. Free from inscriptions, erasures and markings. The WRAPPER is price-clipped and is in VERY GOOD condition. It has moderate edge wear with closed tears to the upper rear edge and folds. The spine is lightly toned. Some loss at the upper front cover and lower spine ends (see images). There is a small area of rubbing on the lower rear cover. It however presents very well in the removable Brodart archival cover. Loosely inserted is a small 'Thank You' notecard, hand written and signed by the author : ' Dear Scott, Thank you for your letter and enclosed., Best Regards, Michael Bond'. The third Paddington title which is becoming increasingly scarce. Wonderful B/W illustrations by Peggy Fortnum throughout.
