Very light age related markings to the boards. A neat contemporary penned gift inscription to the upper corner of the blank verso of the decorated front end-paper. Inscribed by the author in green ink to the blank verso of the decorated front end-paper : 'For John, with worst wishes, Raymond Briggs, 1998'. No wrapper, as issued. Profusely illustrated throughout. One of Briggs' iconic titles and scarce with such attributes. The book is protected in a removable Mylar archival cover.
