A First UK printing published by Gollancz in 1972. The BOOK is in near FINE condition with occasional minor mark on the boards and one superficial scratch on the rear board. The spine tips are slightly pushed with a hint of fading at the tip edges. The orange end papers are clean and bright. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very GOOD++ or better condition. There is very mild fading to the spine of the wrapper which does not detract from the overall design. The wraparound design by Keith Ritchens looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival protector. The book has been Signed and Inscribed by the author to the title page: 'Mabel, with best wishes....yours sincerely Daphne Du Maurier '. Signed Du Maurier Titles are very hard to find. A lovely scarce copy with such attributes.
