A first UK printing published by Constable in 1929.The BOOK is in VERY GOOD + condition with original patterned wrappers with flaps.Title labels to front and spine.Book retains the publisher’s original price to the front flap (2/-).Spine rubbed and frayed with damage to label and lower half. Slight lean.Text block age tanned as expected.Front and rear covers show patterned period design very well.Book is clean with no inscriptions.Very scarce title as first printing. The book was made into an iconic film in 1948 by Alfred Hitchcock.Scarce.
