Light fading of the beige colouring to the spine portion. The red lettering remains bright. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been inscribed and signed by the author to the title page : 'For Mary, fondest wishes, Seamus Heaney, August 2010'. The recipient was Mary Conley Downe, who with her husband Ed were supporters of the 'Irish Clifden Arts Festival'. Loosely inserted is a postcard signed by Peter (Fallon) : 'And a present from your friends......Peter, September 2010'. The Nobel Laureate's last published collection of poetry in his lifetime.
