8vo., bright pink boards, lettered in white to upper cover and spine; containing a wonderful black and white wood engraving to the title page, as well as twelve further engravings in text, all by Eric Ravilious, and all serving as chapter headings; together in the clipped dustwrapper featuring the vignette from 'October'; THE BOOK remarkably clean and bright, with a little pushing to spine tips, and previous owner's name in ink to ffep; otherwise near-fine; THE WRAPPER very good, faded to the upper panel, spine, and rear flap fold; a small dampstain to foot; dark mark to lower panel; and some rubbing/nicking along the edges; repaired with brown tape to verso. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. FIRST UK EDITION.
