The Sole UK printing published by Belmont Press, UK in 2000. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. An out of series unnumbered copy of 150 'special' signed and numbered copies (from a total edition of 250 copies), with an extra original print initialled by the artist, loosely inserted into a pocket to the rear. Quarter bound black morocco, with decorative blue and white patterned boards, titling in silver to the spine, with sage green end-papers. The book has been signed by both Kazuo Ishiguro and Eileen Hogan on the limitation page. The first 50 copies (labelled de-luxe) were bound in quarter leather with two extra prints, whilst the last 50 (standard) copies were quarter bound in cloth and had no extra loose prints. Designed and typeset by Libanus Press of Marlborough. Printed on Zerkall paper by Smith Settle of Otley and bound by The Fine Bindery. Beautifully illustrated in colour throughout by Eileen Hogan. The book is protected in a loose Mylar archival cover. Three stories set in Japan, written by the author some two decades prior to publication. A very handsome production and an increasingly scarce title from the acclaimed Nobel Laureate author.
