All three books have been signed (without dedication) by the author to the title page in Vols 1) and 3) and underneath his printed name facing the title page in Vol.2. The books were all signed at the same time on 27th May 1995 at the Hay Literary Festival where Laurie Lee was one of the highlight literary events of the day. These books have up until very recently been in private ownership for 30 years. The owner, by prior arrangement had met Laurie Lee at this literary event and had his Laurie Lee book collection signed. The books have been signed with a slightly shaky signature by the author, but he was 80 years old at the time. It was one of the last public events he undertook as he was to die two years later at the age of 82 years. A very scarce set of Laurie Lee's most famous works. Collectible.
