Number ’25’ of 40 ‘de-luxe’ copies printed on hand-made paper, from a total limitation of 590 copies. 2 hand-coloured woodcut illustrations and B/W initials by Dennis West. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. A little pushing and rubbing at the spine ends and corners. A little age related toning to the boards to the boards. The paper label to the spine is slightly chipped. The spare label is complete and tipped to the last end-paper as issued. Internally just the odd spotting and toning to the page edges in places. Original pictorial paper-covered boards designed by Barbara Linda Stanbrough. Erratum slip present page 39. The book has been inscribed by the author to the artist Dennis West : ‘To Dennis West, Unquestionable best compositionist in Steyning, the colleague-penning of Victor B. Neuberg, the twenty-fourth of December, Remember !, Blow it : , - the poet, nineteen-twenty-one:, my song is done:, yes!-, At the Vine Press’. Neuberg was an author, poet and occultist, and a friend and sometime partner of Aleister Crowley. As poetry editor of the ‘Sunday Referee’, Neuberg had been the first to publish Dylan Thomas’ work. The book is protected in a removable Mylar archival cover. Scarce.
