The book is protected by a removable mylar sleeve. First UK edition. A discussion of Labour-Tory political views between two acquaintances on a train, as Nicolson defends his belief in Labour's policies despite his social background. At the time, he was a member of the National Labour Group, and had joined the House of Commons as a National Labour MP for Leicester West in the 1935 election.
