8vo., publisher's orange wraps; THE BOOK a clean, bright copy internally, the covers rubbed and scratched, evenly sunned along the backstrip. FIRST EDITION. This copy neatly signed by O'Brien in blue ink to the title page. A play about the life of Virginia Woolf, her husband Leonard, and her lover Vita Sackville-West, all of the material taken directly from the writings, letters and diaries of Sackville-West, Leonard and Virginia Woolf themselves. The first performance, at Stratford Festival, Ontario, in June 1980, starred Maggie Smith in the title role - she here appears on the cover alongside a photographic portrait of Woolf. Scarce signed.
