8vo., bright red card covers, printed in black with text and bold design by Gertrude Hermes in black to the upper cover; publisher's device to lower; with a tipped-in frontis illustration of a flower by Richard Chopping, along with numerous black and white tipped-in photographs in text; THE BOOK with slight evidence of a sticker having been removed from the lower cover; else fine. The book is protected in a removable mylar sleeve. LIMITED EDITION, one of just 350 numbered copies, this copy no. 190, neatly signed by the author beneath her crossed-out name, and inscribed 'For Barbara'. Partridge had close connections with the Bloomsbury Group.
