The book is protected in a removable mylar sleeve. LIMITED EDITION, one of just 350 numbered copies, this copy no. 190, neatly signed by the author beneath her crossed-out name, and inscribed 'For Barbara'. Partridge had close connections with the Bloomsbury Group. In her youth, she worked for a bookshop in London owned by David Garnett, where she became aquainted with Lytton Strachey, Dora Carrington, and Ralph Partridge - the latter of whom she married in 1933. This work is a short natural history on the subject of a rare UK flower, featuring photographs of the author along with Richard Chopping and other friends.
