The sole UK printing privately printed at the Westerham Press in 1964. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. One of only 50 hardback copies issued. There was also a wraps edition issued simultaneously. The printed paper label to the front cover is complete and clean. Free from inscriptions and erasures. Some small light creasing to the upper corner tips on some pages. The fragile original plain Glassine wrapper is present and is in Very Good condition. Some edge wear with a little loss at the upper spine and rear upper edge. The wrapper is protected in a removable Mylar archival cover. The address given at the memorial service for Ian Fleming at St Bartholomew's Church on September 15th 1964. The South African poet and novelist William Plomer had been the publisher's reader for Jonathan Cape from 1937. He was instrumental in the publication of Fleming's work and the dedicatee of 'Goldfinger' (Gilbert p.596). Very scarce with such attributes.
