The First UK printing published by Chatto & Windus, London in 1982. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with very light pushing at the spine tips. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed (without dedication) by the Author on the title page. A ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance. One of the rarest of Philip Pullman titles with most copies ending up in libraries and not to be confused with the re-issue of this book in 1991 by Doubleday. A sharp copy.
