The sole UK printing published by Lanston Monotype Corporation, London in 1929. With twelve designs engraved on wood by Eric Ravilious. And a Specimen of the Roman and Italic of Fournier-le -June. The BOOK is in exceptional near Fine condition. Free from inscriptions and erasures. Internally clean with none of the usual toning and spotting. It appears unread. The very rare original unprinted glassine WRAPPER is present and is in Very Good++ condition with just slight edge wear and a little loss at the spine ends. An incredibly scarce book containing some of Ravilious' earliest and finest woodcuts. Produced and printed in a very small limited edition of just 500 copies. Very few books survive as they are usually broken up for the individual woodcuts. Ravilious provides a striking woodcut for each month. The first copy we have handled with the glassine wrapper
