The First UK Printing published by Chatto and Windus in 1943. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Binding remains tight. One small mark to lower front cover. Slight toning to lower edge of covers. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The scarce paper WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. Some mild loss at the spine ends, upper spine fold and front lower flap fold areas. Mild rubbing in places. Spine toned. The wrapper looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. Profusely illustrated in B/W and full colour by Clarke Hutton. Scarce to find with such attributes.
