A collection of 10 items relating to Hellmuth Weissenborn, including: 'The Poetical Ark' : 8vo., red paper-covered boards, lettered and decorated with wood engraving by the author; in the repeat unclipped dustwrapper (3/6 net to front flap); containing 30 verses, each accompanied by an animal woodcut; THE BOOK very good with some bubbling and marks to endleaves; THE WRAPPER a little darkened and rubbed with some tape repairs, otherwise very good. 'Weissenborn Druckgraphik' : Large 8vo, stapled card covers decorated in black, blue and brown; containing numerous examples of linocuts; THE BOOK near-fine. 'Walpurgisnacht': 8vo., black card covers with contrasting yellow paper label; containing single wood engraving; fine. 4 x Christmas/greeting's cards with either lino or woodcuts; one a little toned to edges, else fine. 2 x Ex Libris; one belonging to the artist, the other to his wife, Lesley Macdonald (the latter with some finger marking and darkening). All items are protected in removable Brodart archival/mylar covers/sleeves. FIRST EDITIONS where called for. The single woodcut is a signed limited, no. 34 of 100 copies. A wonderful collection.
