BOTH TITLES SIGNED AND LINED BY THE AUTHOR

Welsh, Irvine ~ Trainspotting : Signed And Lined By The Author : With The Sequel ‘Men In Love’ Also Signed And Lined By The Author : With Scarce Ephemera

Secker and Warburg, London : 1993

The First UK printing published by Secker and Warburg, London in 1993. The BOOK is in near fine condition and appears unread. Original publishers printed photographic card covers with the French flaps. Only 1000 copies printed. Some very light minor creasing to the spine and just a little fading of the colouring to the publisher's logo at the base of the spine. Some very light toning to the text-block and page edges. The book has been signed by the author to the title page at a book launch event for the sequel in Oxford in July 2025 : 'Choose Life, choose the lot!, Irvine Welsh, 21/7/25’. Exceedingly scarce to find signed in this way. The book is housed in a custom Wyvern Bindery solander box. "Trainspotting" is known for its raw and unfiltered depiction of addiction and its consequences. It explores themes of alienation, despair, and the cyclical nature of addiction. The title itself, refers to the hobby of watching trains, but it also metaphorically suggests the characters' addiction to the highs and lows of their lives. It was the basis of the classic 1996 indie film directed by Danny Boyle, starring Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle. The Scottish author's debut novel. With the First UK edition hardback sequel ‘Men in Love’. This book was signed and lined by the author to the title page : ‘Emotional chequers, Best Irvine’ at the book's launch in Oxford on 21st July 2025. A ticket for the signing event accompanies these titles as provenance. With the unopened vinyl LP ‘Irvine Welsh and the Sci-Fi Soul Orchestra ~ Men In Love’. Lyrics by Irvine Welsh. This is the scarcer limited edition orange vinyl LP which is the official companion album to the novel. The latter is unopened and remains in its original shrink-wrap. 'Trainspotting -The Musical' launched in the West End in later 2026. A very scarce 2 Vols. set with such attributes
